Q. I know that in order to download anything, even free stuff, to a Kindle or Nook you have to register a credit card. I know that you don't have to do this with Apple products. I haven't been able to find concrete answer to if you need a credit card to download free stuff to a Nexus 7 though. Thank you in advance for your help.
A. You don't need a credit card to activate any Android (including Nexus 7). You just need a Google (Gmail) account. You only need a credit card if you want to buy something, it's not needed for free stuff.
What kind of library does the Google Nexus 7 have?
Q. So, with this tablet, I am pretty much only gonna use this thing for my magazines and books. So, my question is, does this thing have just as large a selection of books as, y'know, maybe a kindle fire would have? I am not super technical, so sorry if this is a stupid question.
A. Google has a tons of books and magazines in the play store, and more are being added daily
the other advantage of the Nexus 7 is you can download the Kindle & Nook apps, so you have full access to all the ebooks/magazines on both Amazon's and Barnes & Noble's websites.

Can you upgrade the SD card in a google nexus 7 8gb to a 16gb?
Q. If i get a google nexus 7 8gb can i take the SD card out and replace it with a 16gb? Will it still work? How muck memory will it support?
A. nope.. there is no external storage capabilities.. but the Nexus 7 does come in an 8gb, 16gb, and 32gb. Also the Android Market has different apps to help you manage the storage of your Nexus 7, and helps you manage all the unused apps/programs that are running taking up space and CPU prossessing to help the speed of your N7 to be at top quality.
hope this helps!
